Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026. Fastcal is designed around user-owned financial data, private uploads, and clear boundaries.
Fastcal ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your financial information responsibly. Fastcal helps users upload bank statements and transform them into understandable financial insights, budgeting tools, reports, and planning experiences.
By using Fastcal, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
When using Fastcal, you may provide your name and email address, uploaded bank statement files, manually entered account snapshots, budget and debt planning information, support requests, and feedback.
We may automatically collect device/browser information, usage analytics, error logs, session information, and general location or country information.
We do not intentionally collect unnecessary personal financial identifiers.
How We Use Your Information
Fastcal uses your information to process uploaded bank statements, generate dashboards and reports, improve transaction categorisation, detect recurring subscriptions and spending patterns, provide budgeting and debt payoff tools, improve reliability and security, and respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal financial data.
AI and Financial Insights
Fastcal may use AI systems to categorize transactions, normalize merchant names, generate summaries and suggestions, and explain spending patterns in simple language.
AI-generated suggestions are informational only. Fastcal does not provide professional financial advice, and users should make financial decisions independently or consult a qualified professional.
To protect privacy, AI enrichment receives compact structured transaction rows, not original PDFs, raw statement pages, or full statement dumps. Sensitive information is sanitized where possible before AI processing.
File Uploads and Storage
Uploaded statement files are stored temporarily in secure private storage environments while Fastcal extracts and validates transactions. Security measures include user-isolated storage paths, access controls, signed or temporary access URLs, and encryption in transit.
Fastcal does not permanently store original uploaded bank statement PDF files after processing is completed. Files are deleted automatically after successful extraction and validation.
Fastcal retains the structured transaction data, categorisation details, reports, and generated financial insights required to provide the Service. Users remain in control of retained statement-derived data and may delete it through the platform where supported.
Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary to provide services, maintain account history, improve platform reliability, and meet legal obligations. Users may request deletion of their data where applicable.
Account and Data Deletion
Users may delete uploaded statements, remove generated reports, delete budgets, goals, and financial plans, and request account deletion.
Deleting an account may permanently remove associated financial data from Fastcal systems, subject to backup retention policies and legal obligations.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information, including secure authentication, database access controls, row-level security, encrypted connections, and limited administrative access.
However, no online platform can guarantee absolute security.
Third-Party Services
Fastcal may use third-party providers for hosting, authentication, AI processing, analytics, error monitoring, and email delivery. These providers only receive access necessary to perform their services.
International Users
Fastcal may be accessed internationally. By using the platform, you understand that your information may be processed in jurisdictions different from your own.
Children's Privacy
Fastcal is not intended for children under the age of 13, or the applicable local digital consent age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of Fastcal after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
